The results show a disproportionate representation of race, gender as well as parental roles. This paper critically analyzes the underlying presence of problematic stereotypes and disparities in Pixar’s 2010 release of their highly successful Toy Story 3. From the beginning of their animation history, young audiences have been exposed to culturally defining messages that influence the viewer’s identity and role in society. Stereotypes and disparities have always been predominant in Disney/Pixar movies.
